Meet Shante Lee-Coleman
Candidate for Center Point City Council – District 5
My name is Shante Lee Coleman, and I am proud to be a long-time resident of Center Point, Alabama, where I have lived in the Bridlewood community for over 20 years. I have dedicated much of my life to service, leadership, and advocacy—always driven by the belief that real change starts right where we live.
For the past five years, I’ve served as the Team Captain for our Neighborhood Watch, working hand-in-hand with residents to keep our streets safe and build a stronger, more united community. I’ve led Back-to-School rallies, participated in and organized community clean-up days, and been a consistent, reliable voice in local engagement efforts.
My passion for service is backed by a strong educational foundation. I’m a proud graduate of Huffman High School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University and later pursued graduate studies at the University of Alabama’s School of Social Work in Tuscaloosa. These experiences have equipped me with the tools to promote social change, support families, and advocate for progress that truly benefits our neighborhoods.
I am a devoted wife, mother, friend, church member, coworker—and most importantly, your neighbor. I am a member of The Worship Center Church, and I bring the same faith, compassion, and sense of responsibility to my campaign that I bring to every role in my life.
I’m running for Center Point City Council, District 5, because I believe our community deserves strong, transparent, and action-driven leadership. I’m committed to:
-
Increasing Community Engagement
-
Empowering Our Youth
-
Prioritizing Neighborhood Safety
-
Promoting Real, Sustainable Progress
It’s time for a new voice—a voice that listens, acts, and leads with purpose. It’s time for REAL change, and together, we can make it happen.
